why am i running for mayor?

My experience in Flossmoor’s government, with over 5 years as a Trustee and 2 years as Village Clerk, has provided me with a deep understanding of the major opportunities for growth and development that our village can capitalize on, as well as the significant risks that threaten our progress and stability. What has motivated me to run for Mayor is my increasing concern over how key community issues have been managed and how decisions have been made. I have observed a lack of transparency, a disregard for differing views and opinions, an insensitivity to community concerns, and a deficiency in monitoring and accountability systems, which all contribute to the risk of abuse of power.

I am committed to bringing a new level of openness, responsiveness, and accountability to Flossmoor’s leadership. By working together, we can create a more prosperous and inclusive community for all residents. Your trust and support are essential as we embark on this journey to make Flossmoor a place where every voice is heard and every resident feels valued.
